Friends of Mudford Action Group (FOMAG)

Working to protect Mudford and its surrounding countryside through evidence, transparency and responsible planning.

FOMAG is a community group formed to ensure that major development proposals affecting Mudford are properly scrutinised and that local residents are fairly represented. We support appropriate growth — but it must be safe, sustainable and lawful.

What We’re Working On

We are currently focusing on:

• Large-scale housing proposals affecting the parish
• Flood risk, drainage and surface water management
• Environmental and ecological impacts
• Historical land use and public safety considerations
• Ensuring planning decisions follow due process and are seen to be fair by local residents

FOMAG examines evidence, engages with professional advisers where necessary, and communicates clearly with residents, councillors and stakeholders.

Where we identify gaps, inconsistencies or unanswered questions, we seek clarification through formal processes and expert advice.

Why This Matters

Decisions being made now will shape Mudford for generations. Infrastructure, road safety, flooding resilience, biodiversity and public health must all be properly assessed before development is allowed to proceed.
